Kilkenny Masters 2007
After taking a few days off after Malta I
got back practicing.
I aim to be well prepared for March with the World Championship qualifiers
at the start.
After returning from Prestatyn I play in an exhibition match in the Racecourse
in Baldoyle on March 4th.
This is the third year in a row that I have done an exhibition in the Racecourse.
It is always a fantastic night, with a great crowd, and I look forward to
many more great nights there.
After my exhibition I will be travelling to
Kilkenny to play in the Kilkenny Masters.
On Friday March 9th. I will play Mark Allen at 9.30a.m. and Neil Robertson
at 5.30p.m.
It is great to have a quality professional tournament like this being held
in Ireland.
It is a sixteen man event with eight of the worlds top players competing
including Ken Doherty, Stephen Hendry, John Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Jimmy
White, Matthew Stevens, Barry Hawkins,
World Champion Graeme Dott and the winner of two of the five tournaments completed
this year Neil Robertson.
The top four players are seeded and the other
twelve are in four groups of three,
with the winners of each group to be drawn against one of the seeded players
in the quarter finals.
With such a great field, and €20,000 available for the winner, it is
going to be a great tournament.
