Welsh Open - Newport.

On February 18th I lost 5-4 against Marco Fu in the last 32 of the Welsh Open at Newport.
It was a great match, full of high quality play but, unfortunately,
I didn't get a chance in the decider to win it.
When it goes to the final frame all you hope for is a chance but Marco's good play,
allied with a timely fluke, meant it wasn't to be.

However, it was good to be back at the venue,
having failed to qualify in the Grand Prix and the U.K. Championship.
I knew Marco would be a tough opponent and I was proved right,
as he had a 60, 80 and 2 centuries including a 142 highest break.
I also scored heavily and made breaks of 50, 65,74, and 80.
I played well but, on the day, it just wasn't enough.
